Uppsatsen kommer att avhandla ledningsförhållandet under Karl XII:s fälttåg i Norge 1718. Syftet med uppsatsen äratt pröva det historiska händelseförloppet kring anfallet mot Trondheim utifrån hur vi idag uppfattar uppdragstaktikoch påvisa förekomst av denna. Min hypotes är att de bärande tankarna i uppdragstaktik inte är ett sentida fenomen. Iuppsatsen kommer jag att söka svar på följande frågeställningar.- Var Karl XII en delegerande eller centralstyrande militär chef under den Jämtländska arméns anfall motTrondheim 1718?- Finns det spår i Karl XII:s ledning av Armfeldts armé av det vi idag kallar uppdragstaktik?Uppsatsen teoretiska utgångspunkt är uppdragstaktik som den beskrivs i den svenska militärstrategiska doktrinenfrån år 2002.

I undersökningen behandlades officersrekryteringen vid Kalmar regemente mellan åren 1721-1809, utifrån dess geografiska och sociala aspekter. Frågeställningen formulerades i syfte att dels lyfta fram andelan regionalt rekryterade officerare och till vilken grad även deras social bakgrund var militär, och dels hur denna sammansättning inom Kalmar regement ter sig i förhållande till forskningsläget i stort. .

From a new perspective, this paper will examine the artillery and the pike role in the period 1700-1712 and the battalion´s battle formation in the Caroline combat tactics. Carolinian battle tactics were practiced during the period 1700-1721. The results from my study will be compared to existing research opinion regarding the selected subject areas, if the result confirms the thesis or question the existing research opinion. The source material used consists of eyewitness accounts from the period consisting of diaries, memoir, biography, general muster rolls and historical literature covering the subject. The analysis shows that the Caroline artillery took part in 12 battles during the period of 1700-1712.

Denna studie jämför kvalitativt och kvantitativt fördelningen mellan evidentialer i de uraliska språken med Andersons (1986) kriterier som utgångspunkt och grammatikor skrivna om språken som material. Strategierna för att förmedla evidentialitet består såväl av fristående partiklar som modus och tempus, med en större tendens mot modus i den östra änden av det uraliska språkområdet, tempus i de centrala delarna och partiklar i de västra språken. Samtliga av dessa konstruktioner har i stort sitt ursprung i grammatikaliseringsprocesser, med undantag för eventuella språkkontaktsliga inlånsprocesser i vissa språk..

The interest for wind power has increased in Sweden. Northern Sweden is especially interesting due to that a new wind resource map shows that there are areas in northern Sweden that have more potential for wind power than what have been known before. Therefore E.ON Vind is interested in finding out if, and where, there are suitable places for establishment of wind power in northern Sweden. The purpose of this master thesis is therefore to perform an inventory of northern Sweden for suitable places for wind power. The master thesis is performed at E.ON Vinds office at Vasagatan in Stockholm.

Denna studie över likpredikningar från 1700-talets Stockholm har som mål att undersöka seklets ideal, dödssyn samt samhällssyn hos överklassen. Vilka är de manliga och kvinnliga idealen och skiljer de sig åt? Detta genomförs med en kvalitativ textanalys av källmaterialet. Under 1700-talet var dygden framstående hos både män och kvinnor, med den skillnaden att dygden hos kvinnorna sammankopplas med gudfruktighet. Ytterligare centrala ideal är äkthet i sitt varande och plikttrogenhet.

The aim of this essay is to study diaries and letters from Swedish soldiers during the Great Nordic War, more specifically those written during the campaign 1707-1721 against Russia, in search of religious coping and religious parables. The theoretic framework is evolved around Kenneth Pargament?s theory about religious coping, and Ana-Maria Rizzuto?s theory about object relations. The method used can be described as hermeneutic.The questions at hand were:- How did Swedish soldiers during the war against Russia relate to God, and express image of God and religious concepts?- Did the soldiers express themselves in terms of spiritual coping and in that case to what extent?The conclusions were that the soldiers used religious coping as a method of survival.

This master thesis was initiated with the aim to answer at what level of installed capacity of wind power in the northern parts of Sweden it would be beneficial to improve the transmission capacity from the northern Sweden. During the process of this work the aim has changed to try and create a model that can be used to analyze how well the hydro power installed in the northern Sweden can even out the quick changes in wind power production.To create a good model of all hydro power in northern Sweden is a very large job, unfortunately too large for a master thesis. This report therefore ends with an extensive analysis of the simplifications that have been made and their effects as well as a list of the future work that has to be done.The model that has been created have shown to be effective and produce good results. The conclusions that can be made is that the northern Swedish hydro power have very good possibilities to balance the wind power production. Only a few cases where water have been spilled even though there has been some free capacity has been discovered.

The manor Fållnäs gård is situated at the northern end of the bay Fållnäsviken, c. 12 km north-west of Nynäshamn, Sweden. A 300 cm long sediment core collected in the bay has been analyzed regarding pollen stratigraphy. AMS 14C dating of terrestrial macrofossils indicates that the sequence covers the last c. 5400 years.The aim has been to study vegetational changes, especially human impact, in the surroundings of Fållnäs gård.

The purpose with this essay is to find out the role of mythology in history in Swedish elementary schools to day. The questions I used to fulfill the purpose in my essay are these: How is the relationship between the school subject history and northern mythology, (what is myth, what is history) how does history and myth being linked together? And How is the practical use of northern mythology shaped in to days school, How does the teacher form the education in northern mythology and what controls it? The method I used was an interview, a case study and a literature study, based on the didactical questions how, why and what.The mythology is motivated by the guidelines and goals, set up by the Swedish government, and is supposed to give the student history knowledge and thereby help the student to build up their identity. It is also supposed to give knowledge about the Swedish and Nordic cultural heritage. The role the mythology has is to support the history education.According to the interview in this essay the northern mythology is given a central place in the education in the Swedish elementary school today.

On the 8th of May 2007 a local power-sharing goverment consisting of Sinn Fein and the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) was formed in Northern Ireland. The aim of this dissertation is to explore why the DUP, who in the past have opposed all forms of power-sharing decided to form a goverment and take active part in a power-sharing agreement. The study is based on a consociational theoretical framework developed by Arend Lijphart and further developed in a Northern Irish context by John McGarry and Brendan O'Leary. Using this theory the study seeks to understand the broad conditions surrounding the DUP's power-sharing. After a description of consociational theory and the road leading up to the Belfast Agreement,three possible explanations for power-sharing, based onconsociational theory are discussed.

This study aims to describe the influence of natural law on the common concept of justiceamongst Swedish officers around 1700. Through this study I intend to establish that therewere discrepancies and expressions of other norms in 17th and 18th century military culture.Both from natural law but also from Christian belief. A secondary aim is to establish howsuch variances were manifested and how they can be explained.A few theoretical starting-points have been used as a guide in developing the purpose andrelevant questions for this study. I intend to describe the key features of the concept of naturallaw as thoroughly as needed, through relevant legal literature. The next step will be to mapthese outlines against texts from the time, through a qualitative close reading.This study has investigated, at least, seven diaries from the time.

Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka hur kyrkogårdar har utvecklats fram till idag. Det syftar också till att ge förslag på hur en modern kyrkogård kan rekonstrueras samt skötas för att återspegla förhållandena under 1700-talet. Den valda kyrkogården är Hjortsberga i Ronneby församling.Dagens kyrkogård med klippta häckar och krattade grusgångar har en ca hundraårig historia. Före 1800-talet var den i huvudsak en anläggning med sparsam växtlighet som inte ägnades någon planering. Gräs var högvuxet och det hände även att kreatur betade innanför murarna.Arbetet bygger på litteratur- och arkivstudier såväl som intervjuer.
